Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) is the name given to a group of rare congenital disorders which result in deformity and stiffness of the joints.This condition has diverse symptoms that give rise to varying degrees of disability from mild to severe impairment.Working in partnership,

Birmingham Children's Hospital and The Arthrogryposis Group (TAG) are holding a two day International Symposium on Arthrogryposis at Birmingham City Council Chambers from 20th to 21st September 2007. Birmingham has excellent facilities and its International Airport ensures easy access for overseas delegates.

This international meeting will bring together a wide range of clinicians and therapists involved in the management of Arthrogryposis. Our aim is to stimulate debate on treatment and research in particular. The Symposium will also involve input from people, including families with children, who have the condition.
