GENERAL INFORMATION

Professors Robert Surtees and Marc Tardieu will lead a faculty on ‘Inflammatory and Metabolic Disorders of the CNS’. This European Paediatric Neurology Society course is part of a series of courses aimed at trainee paediatric neurologists.

This is a two-day residential course. Registration will be at 9.30am on Tuesday 7 November and the course will finish at 4.00pm on Wednesday 8 November 2006.

LOCATION AND ACCOMMODATION


The course is being held in England, in the city of Leeds, at the Marriott Hotel:

This hotel is located in the city centre close to Leeds train station and about 19km from Leeds/Bradford airport. The following low cost airlines fly to Leeds/Bradford from all over Europe in addition to scheduled airline such as British Airways, Swiss Air etc:

Alternatively you could fly to Manchester International Airport and travel direct by train from the airport to Leeds city centre, which will take about 1 hour 20 minutes.

COSTS

The cost of this course is £275.00 (British pounds sterling). This includes dinner, bed and breakfast for two nights (6 and 7 November). Payment can be made by credit card or bank draft to ‘BPNA (EPNS course)’.

PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME
‘Inflammatory and Metabolic Disorders of the CNS’

Each speaker will give two talks: one 30 minute lecture followed by a 30 minute question and answer session, which will then be followed by a 15-20 minute lecture dealing in depth with a specific aspect followed by a 10 minutes of questions.
At the end of the day a self-assessment will occur followed by peer-review/discussion group (“difficult cases to be discussed together”).
