Unfortunately, due to a scheduling conflict, Dr. Roland Torres is not able to present at next Thursday’s, September 15th Lunchtime Lecture on Hemicraniectomies.  However, he will be presenting on the topic at our January 2006 Lunchtime Lecture.  Please mark your calendars for the new date of Thursday, January 12th, 2006 to take part in Dr. Torres’ lecture.

We will still hold a lecture on September 15th from 12:00-1:00 PM, and BTF’s very own Laura Iacono, RN, MSN will present on Initial Management of the Patient with Severe Traumatic Brain Injury

 Registration Fee: $39.95

The registration fee is waived for participants in the TBI National Quality Improvement Initiative and all New York State trauma centers.

The fee for the web lecture includes:

 ·         Unlimited participant attendance at your site

·        One telephone connection

·        Handouts

·        CEU/CME credit

To Register:  Visit us online at https://braintrauma.webex.com.  Click on the “upcoming” tab to see the lecture schedule.  Lecture slides are now available online.

Continuing Education:  Continuing education credits are available for nurses and physicians participating in the lecture upon completion of an evaluation.

 Upcoming Lectures:

 October 7, 2005 – Nutrition – Gordon S. Sacks, Pharm.D., R.Ph., B.C.N.S.P.,

Clinical Associate Professor, Pharmacy Practice Division, University of Wisconsin, Madison

 November 8, 2005 – Hypothermia – Donald Marion, MD, F.A.C.S.

The Lunchtime Lectures are an excellent opportunity for staff at your trauma center to hear lectures from top experts in the field of neurotrauma care.  These experts typically present to thousands at conferences around the world.  Not only will you hear presentations from these sought after lecturers, but you will also have the opportunity to ask questions pertinent to your center.

We hope you and your team will take advantage of these opportunities. I’m confident these interactive sessions will exceed your expectations.
