National epilepsy week 2006

National Society for Epilepsy
Tue, 16 May 2006, 15:53

It’s national epilepsy week 2006! This year’s theme is children and young people. A recent NSE survey found that almost all parents who have a child with epilepsy feel overprotective and worry about other people’s attitudes.

See the full survey results here http://www.epilepsynse.org.uk/pages/whatsnew/epilepsyweek/survey.cfm

Seshorse ball

Don’t miss NSE’s next annual Seahorse ball on Friday 29th September at The Dorchester, Park Lane, London.
This magnificent event will feature a themed drinks reception, 3 course dinner, live music from a six piece band, dancing until 1.30am, a charity auction, raffle and attractions. http://www.epilepsynse.org.uk/pages/involved/fundevents/ball.cfm

Short seminars on epilepsy

NSE’s short seminars give an introduction to epilepsy.
They are aimed at care workers, teachers, occupational therapists, social workers and others. The seminars will help you to recognise seizure types and understand what first aid to give during seizures. Other topics such as the social impact of epilepsy or employment may also be included. The next seminar is on 20th June. Find out more http://www.epilepsynse.org.uk/pages/aboutus/info_ed/trainex.cfm
